Mr. Trauger is a Managing Director of The Kafafian Group, Inc. He is a member of the strategic consulting team and specializes in capital formation and structure, building client-specific planning and performance measurement models and facilitating the development of client strategies. He has analyzed and facilitated strategy development for financial institutions resulting in documented strategic plans to guide client employees and improve performance. He has advised the management and Boards of Directors of financial services industry participants regarding mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, valuation issues, capital formation, allocation and management and other strategically-oriented issues.

Mr. Trauger has twenty years of experience in virtually all sectors of the financial services industry. Trauger began his career in the commercial banking industry with Dauphin Deposit Corporation, a $6 billion bank holding company. He was actively involved in the $1.56 billion acquisition of Dauphin Deposit Corporation by Allied Irish Banks, PLC. His primary responsibilities consisted of strategic planning, merger and acquisition analyses, capital planning, asset/liability management and financial forecasting. He also served as Dauphin’s lead economist for the corporation’s executive asset/liability management committee. For the past decade Mr. Trauger has been active in financial institution mergers & acquisitions, consulting, and capital formation with Tucker Anthony Sutro Capital Markets (now RBC Capital Markets) and other regional investment banking firms. In addition to his responsibilities with The Kafafian Group, Inc. Mr. Trauger is also the Managing Director of Perigee Investment Advisors, LLC, a Pa-licensed registered investment advisor that provides investment insights to select clients on sector and firm valuation issues in the U.S. financial services industry.

A graduate of Penn State University, Mr. Trauger has his Series 65 license. He is member of the CFA® Institute, the CFA® Society of Philadelphia and is a member of the CFA® Institute’s Hearing Panel Pool for the Disciplinary Review Committee and is a professional member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA).
