Who We Are whoweare

THE KAFAFIAN GROUP, INC. ("TKG") is a finance, strategy, and operations consulting firm that specializes in Performance Measurement, Profitability Outsourcing, Strategic and Business Planning, Profit/Process Improvement, and Investment Banking Advisory Services for the Financial Industry.

TKG has helped more than 300 financial institutions improve their back-office operations, use systems more effectively, and develop better management information and reporting. Widely recognized as authorities on performance measurement and profitability analysis and reporting, we have developed a cost-effective profitability outsourcing solution for community banks. We have served clients in more than 40 states ranging in asset size from $16 million to over $100 billion.

The genesis of TKG was in 1982 with the establishment of The Q Group, Inc., a consulting firm dedicated to serving financial institutions. In 1992, The Q Group merged into a boutique investment banking company then owned by a regional bank.

Our consulting engagements focused on systems and operations issues and strategic planning for community financial institutions. Recognizing that these institutions required more sophisticated management information to compete, we launched our profitability outsourcing service in 1992. This service quickly became our signature service due to market demand.

After our parent company's second ownership change, ten of our employees purchased the consulting services division and spun-off its own company to form TKG in 2001.

Today, we are a team of seasoned industry professionals dedicated to helping banks perform better by delivering meaningful management information and analysis, helping identify operating efficiencies, evaluating strategic alternatives, developing winning strategies, and providing the data necessary to make informed decisions.
